Incidentaloma suprarrenal en un paciente con cáncer de mama: una rara asociación
Adrenal incidentaloma is an entity that has been observed to increase in the oncology area due to imaging scans used to stage and/or rule out distant metastasis in patients diagnosed with cancer. We have not found published clinical guidelines on the management of incidental adrenal findings supported by any medical entity. Any finding of adrenal pathology should be studied to rule out whether we are dealing with a lesion functioning or not, or whether it is a primary or metastatic malignancy; understanding that it is a borderline pathology where several specialties interact, such as: general surgery, oncologic surgery, endocrine surgery, endocrinology, urology, and the cases should be taken on by specialists with the relevant skills, under a multi- disciplinary management scheme. The aim of this review is to highlight the association of a malignant breast neoplasm in a man, which is rare and represents less than 1% of all breast carcinomas, associated with a unilateral functioning adrenal tumor, without evidence of a history of family or personal syndromes, or florid symptoms of adrenal pathology, which will allow us to analyze its diagnostic and therapeutic approach, reinforcing the semiological exploration.
