Low Carbon Scheduling of Distribution Networks Based on Affine Adjustable Robust Optimization Method Considering the Risk of Insufficient Flexibility
Under the dual carbon goal, the integration of a high proportion of renewable energy into the distribution network has significantly increased the demand for flexibility due to the inherent uncertainties of these energy sources. To enhance the flexible operational capabilities of the distribution network and reduce carbon emissions, this paper proposes an affine adjustable robust optimization dispatching method that takes into account the risk of insufficient flexibility in the distribution network. First, the flexibility margin of the distribution network system is analyzed from the supply and demand perspectives. Utilizing the conditional value at risk theory, the risks associated with insufficient flexibility when the margin is inadequate are derived. Second, considering the uncertainties in wind power and photovoltaic output, as well as the potential risks of insufficient flexibility, a low-carbon dispatch model for the distribution network was developed based on an affine adjustable robust optimization approach, aimed at minimizing overall operating costs. Finally, system simulation verification indicates that the proposed method effectively reduces carbon emissions and the risk of insufficient flexibility in distribution networks.
