Persistence of skin process remission in patients with moderate and severe psoriasis vulgaris in application of netakimab: a five-year observational study results
Effective therapy with netakimab in patients with moderate and severe psoriasis vulgaris ensures a stable clinical remission of the skin process and prevents the development of psoriatic arthritis. Objective. To analyze the data on the use of netakimab from 2020 to 2024 in achieving and maintaining persistent remission of the skin process in patients with moderate and severe psoriasis, including problematic localizations. Material and methods. The study was performed on the basis of the department of dermatovenereology and cosmetology and «Professor» MC of clinics of the Siberian State Medical University. A number of patients equal 30 was under observation. All patients were diagnosed with vulgar plaque torpid psoriasis, including problematic localizations: nails (in 50%), scalp (in 90%), anogenital area (in 5%), palms and soles (30%), folds (20%). Dynamics of the indices of skin processes’ severity was assessed for each phenotype. Methods of calculation of descriptive statistics and calculation of mean values were used for statistical processing of the studied indicators. Results. In the investigated period, PASI dynamics in patients with torpid plaque extensive psoriasis reached 96.83% from the baseline, with inverse psoriasis — 83.07%, sPGA in patients with psoriasis of the scalp — 82.7%, NAPSI in patients with lesion of the nail plates — 89.91%, DLQI — 96.13%. All indicators remained stable for 252 weeks of therapy. Conclusion. Netakimab demonstrated rapid achievement of effect already on the 3rd month of introduction and retention of stable clinical remission for 5 years (252 weeks) of application. Favorable safety profile has been identified during 5 years of therapy. Development of psoriatic arthritis have not been registered in all patients.
