PATTERN OF CUTANEOUS MANIFESTATIONS IN PATIENTS OF HIV WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS ATTENDING A TERTIARY HEALTH CARE CENTRE

BACKGROUND: Cutaneous manifestations are one of the common presenting features in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. Many common as well as rare conditions may present atypically or in an exaggerated form in the background of immunosuppression due to HIV. Various sexually transmitted infections are inadvertently higher in occurrence in the background of HIV and are largely attributed to the higher chance of acquisition of infection due to favorable circumstances in the presence of HIV. AIMS: To estimate the occurrence and pattern of different cutaneous manifestations in patients living with HIV.
