Intraneural ganglion of the peroneal nerve: a case report and review
Intraneural ganglion of the peroneal nerve is a rare cause of peroneal neuropathy. Timely diagnosis and competent surgical treatment are key factors for optimal outcomes. At the same time, sporadic nature causes low awareness of doctors about clinical features, diagnostic criteria and optimal treatment that can affect the quality of medical care. The authors present surgical treatment of a patient with intraneural ganglion of the peroneal nerve and non-systematic literature review highlighting the features of diagnosis and treatment of this pathology.
