Глобальные тенденции трансформации гражданского общества: социально-философские вызовы / Civil Society Transformation Global Trends: Socio-Philosophical Challenges

In the context of globalization, digitalization, and growing political fragmentation transformation of civil society has become one of the most pressing topics in contemporary social and philosophical discourse. Civil society, once considered a stabilizing force between the state and the individual, is increasingly subject to internal redefinitions and external pressures. This article examines global trends that are reshaping civil society, including the rise of networked activism, hybrid institutional forms, and the shrinking of civic space in authoritarian and semi-democratic regimes. Particular attention is paid to the socio-philosophical challenges arising from these transformations: the erosion of public trust, ideological polarization, tensions between local identities and global norms. Drawing on interdisciplinary sources, the article seeks to provide a comprehensive framework for understanding the new nature of civil society in the 21st century, with a focus on the post-Soviet and Armenian contexts.
