Impact of cryoballoon size adjustability on procedural and clinical outcomes
A fixed 28-mm balloon size has been one of the limitations of cryoballoon (CB) technology. 1.2 Recently, a size-adjustable CB (POLARx FIT, Boston Scientific) (FIT-CB) was introduced, which allows switching balloon size (28 or 31mm) within a single catheter by adjusting the inner balloon pressure (2.5 or 7.5 psig). 3.4 The larger balloon size may enable more proximal antral engagement, create a wider ablation area, 5 and reduce risk of phrenic nerve injury (PNI).This study aimed to evaluate the impact of balloon size
