Photography as an Analytical Tool in Modern Digital Media
In digital media, photography has become an analytical tool that can shape the visual culture and engage people with media. This case study addresses the significance of photo analytics, such as Rule-of-Thirds (RoT) composition, and AI-ordered segmentation elegance in the very structure of the image as it relates to audience engagement. The study evaluated how various genres balanced focal point distribution, composition complexity, and adherence to photographic principles through experimental analysis. These results show the role of AI-generated photography in augmenting traditional composition techniques, leading to better compliance with established visual aesthetics whilst providing novel points of departure for AI-assisted image making. The study highlights AI's potential as a transformative tool in the fields of photography education and media production by contrasting traditional and AIgenerated photographic compositions. It advances the place of analytical photography in the working art of art and contemporary digital media, between artistic imagination and scientific analysis.
