The Interaction between Technology and Design in Modern Interior Spaces
This paper discusses roles of digital technologies in contemporary interior design and the contribution of these technologies to energy consumption efficiency, users' satisfaction level and usage of effective areas. Thanks to the proliferation of smart home systems, AI-driven design tools, and adaptive technologies, our interior spaces have evolved to accommodate increased demands for function, sustainability, and style. This study explores the effect of such technologies on the home, focusing on small living units where space and energy efficiency become a primary concern. The findings demonstrate that smart techniques enable power saving, enhancing user experience, and space utilization substantially. Contemporary interior spaces can therefore be sustainable, effective and comfortable environments through the combination of traditional benchmark design elements and state-of-the-art digital tools. Integrating such technology can help solve interior design issues faced by today's users, as highlighted in the findings
