Research on Terminal Sliding Mode Control for a Variety of Uncertain Systems

Traditional sliding mode variable structure control (SMC) not only retains robustness against uncertain systems and suppression capability for external disturbances but also achieves superior dynamic performance, enabling its widespread application in fields such as electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. However, due to the adoption of linear sliding mode surface parameters in this control method, system states can only asymptotically converge to target values. To address this limitation, this paper proposes a terminal sliding mode control (TSMC) method and applies the controller to permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) wind power systems and enterprise employee turnover countermeasure formulation under disturbance environments. Simulation results demonstrate that compared with SMC, the proposed model and control strategy enable the aforementioned systems to converge to target values within finite time, exhibiting significant robustness and rapidity.
