Design and Implementation of Inventory System Based on Django and Internet of Things

This paper aims to design and implement an IoT inventory management system based on the Django framework to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprise inventory management. Inventory management is crucial in supply chain management, and the rapid development of Internet of Things technology has brought changes to traditional inventory management. By integrating RFID, sensors and other IoT devices, the system can collect the status information of inventory items in real time, and realize real-time monitoring and management of inventory. Django framework is an ideal choice for building this system because of its powerful functions, easy to use interfaces and rich extensibility. The system design concept is user demand oriented, and is committed to creating an efficient, intelligent, scalable and safe inventory management system. The design objectives include realizing real-time monitoring of inventory information, improving the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management, supporting multi terminal access and data synchronization, and providing flexible report generation and data analysis functions. The basic function modules of the system include user management, inventory management, Internet of Things access, data analysis and report modules. In the aspect of system development, the article introduces the architecture of Django framework, system architecture design, key technologies needed to implement the system, development tools and environment used, and system compatibility analysis and solutions. The system implementation process includes requirements analysis, design, coding and testing stages. Finally, the fully tested system can enter the deployment phase and go online. Research conclusions and prospects indicate that this research has successfully constructed an inventory management system based on the Internet of Things technology, realized the intelligence and automation of inventory management, and proposed a data driven inventory optimization algorithm. In the future, with the continuous development of technology, IoT technology will become more intelligent and automated, and integrate with more advanced technologies to promote the integration of inventory management system. IoT technology has broad application prospects in the field of inventory management, and will be widely used in many fields. This study provides a theoretical and practical basis for the application of IoT technology in inventory management.
