Optimal Scheduling of Distribution Networks with Renewable Energy Integration Considering Carbon Emission Reduction

To address the stability challenges of power systems with high renewable energy penetration, this paper proposes an optimal scheduling model designed to enhance the multi-energy complementary support system in modern power grids while effectively exploring the system's carbon reduction potential. The model integrates both operational economic and environmental carbon emission benefits of the distribution network system and formulates a multi-objective optimization approach aimed at minimizing lifecycle carbon emission costs, network loss costs, and voltage deviations. The model is solved using an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (IMOPSO). Simulation results based on the modified IEEE-33 node system demonstrate that considering carbon emission environmental benefits leads to a 41.40 % reduction in carbon emissions, a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{5 9. 0 2 \%}$</tex> reduction in network losses, and a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{5 1. 7 9 \%}$</tex> reduction in voltage deviation compared to the pre-optimized scenario.
