Application of Forecasting Algorithm in the Performance Prediction of Sports Events

Applying the prediction algorithm to the prediction of sports events can improve the prediction accuracy of sports events and achieve better results. In this paper, the practicability of the prediction algorithm for sports events prediction is verified to some extent by empirical research, and a series of strategies are put forward to improve the refinement and accuracy of the prediction effect. An empirical study was conducted in the selected samples of 100 football matches, and the accuracy rate was 81 %, the draw rate was 72 %, and the winning rate of the visiting team was 68 %. It shows great potential and reliability in predicting the performance of sports events. The prediction algorithm is superior to other prediction methods in predicting the results of sports events. At present, it is more likely to provide accurate results for professional fans and major gamblers, so that they can make more rational judgments and have a better experience of watching sports events.
