ADMM-Based Second-Order Optimal Scheduling of Stand-Alone Multi-Microgrids
In alpine and remote areas where it is difficult to build main grids, the use of stand-alone microgrids (MGs) to supply power to users has become a feasible option. However, such areas have a large coverage area, dispersed loads, and the new power resources are affected by the geographic environment, which is a strong constraint. Based on this, a scheduling method based on alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is proposed for the stand-alone interconnected operation of multiple microgrids (MMGs). Firstly, the optimal of each MG's operation cost is achieved in the day-ahead scheduling. Then, a joint operation model of MMGs is established, and ADMM is used to interactively solve the optimal interactive power among MGs, so that the overall operation cost is minimized. The simulation shows that the joint operation and scheduling optimization method of stand-alone MMGs improves the reliability of power supply for loads in wind and solar resource-poor areas and reduces the overall operation cost of stand-alone MMGs.
