Balancing Iraqi Southern Heritage and Modern Technologies in Hotel Interior Design
The recent hotel interior design introduces modern technology, but regional cultural identity would be lost. The study examines how Iraqi southern heritage can be preserved and well-connected with smart hospitality technology in addressing that challenge. This led us to create a design framework assessing how different design approaches (traditional, modern and balanced) can impact guest satisfaction, energy consumption and cultural perception. Based on analysis conducted with design software and feedback metrics, the study found a balanced system outperformed other strategies in all categories: aesthetic quality, cultural richness, and energy efficiency. The results confirm the importance of marrying heritage with innovation to develop unique and competitive spaces in the hospitality industry.
