Supply Chain Management in the Wine Market

Wine production and logistics represent key components of the agro-industrial sector, directly influencing economic resilience and global competitiveness of enterprises. The relevance of this study is driven by the growing demand for high-quality wines and the necessity to enhance supply chain efficiency under conditions of globalization, economic instability, and climate change. The aim of the research is to identify the specific features of the wine supply chain and to develop recommendations for its improvement and adaptation to modern challenges. The study also addresses the main problems of the industry and evaluates prospects for its development in Ukraine and the global market. The study applies a systematic approach, including content analysis of scientific publications, statistical data, and comparative analysis of international supply chain management practices in winemaking. The methodology combines descriptive and analytical approaches, enabling comprehensive coverage of both theoretical and practical aspects of wine logistics management. It has been established that the efficiency of wine supply chains largely depends on climatic conditions, production geography, and infrastructure quality. The need for digitalization of logistics processes, integration of innovative IT solutions, and implementation of sustainability principles was revealed. International experience has been generalized, key industry challenges have been systematized, and examples of practical innovation application have been presented. Recommendations for improving cooperation among producers, distributors, and consumers have been proposed. The theoretical significance of the research lies in deepening the scientific understanding of agro-logistical systems. The practical significance consists in the possibility of applying the results to optimize the operations of wine industry enterprises. The originality of the study is expressed in the systematization of current challenges and approaches to wine supply chain management with consideration of international experience. The main conclusion is that wine supply chains require comprehensive modernization. Future research perspectives focus on evaluating the impact of digital technologies and climate change on the development of wine logistics. Article type – theoretical.
