Infranetics – the Umbrella Science of Governing the Second Nature. Part 2

The second part of the article discusses the methodology of infranetics, an interdisciplinary science integrating approaches to managing and securing complex infrastructure systems. It considers four typical cases that cover reliability assessment, risk management, and critical infrastructure management harmonization. Particular focus is given to the Living Laboratory of Converged Technologies (LLCT) methodology, which solves complex practical problems under uncertainty. The application of infranetics and MABICS technologies is presented, including the development of new methods for assessing resilience and the social consequences of disasters, as well as digital models of "smart" regions. Priority areas for further infranetics research, such as resilience analysis, risk management, and developing methods to predict infrastructure failures, are outlined.
