Research on Green Supply Chain Strategy of Pakistan from the Perspective of Circular Economy

The development of Pakistan’s leather product manufacturing industry is plagued by issues such as resource scarcity, increasing leather waste, and worsening environmental pollution. Under the promotion of circular economy policies, green supply chain management, as an effective management practice, is one of the important management strategies for the green development of Pakistan’s manufacturing industry. There are many risks in the green supply chain that have a significant impact on the leather production and operation of enterprises. The difficulty in finding green suppliers and the low response level to customer demand have become bottlenecks for the development of green supply chains in the leather product manufacturing industry. In order to establish a good cooperative relationship between enterprises, suppliers, and customers, enterprises can implement supply chain integration, while also helping to rationalize green supply chain resources, increase their competitive advantage, and create value for the enterprise. On this basis, a theoretical model for the integration capability of green supply chain in leather product manufacturing industry was constructed, and four research hypotheses were proposed. Then, this article used a questionnaire survey method to obtain 200 valid questionnaires from leather product manufacturing enterprises. Additionally, this study provides some management insights for the improvement of green supply chain management in Pakistan's leather product manufacturing industry, and offers a new perspective for promoting the steady growth of Pakistan's green supply chain and the high-quality development of circular economy.
