Pharmacotherapy of non-communicable liver diseases. Clinical pharmacology of main hepatoprotective agents
Hepatoprotective agents represent an impor tant group of drugs aimed at protecting and restoring the liver in various pathological conditions. The ar ticle provides a detailed examination of the mechanisms of action, indications, and clinical ef ficacy of key hepatoprotective agents, including ursodeoxycholic acid, ademetionine, L-ornithine-L-aspar tate, silymarin, and essential phospholipids. Special at tention is given to their role in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, alcoholic and toxic liver injuries, and cholestatic conditions. The article analyzes current data on the efficacy of various hepatoprotective agents, including results from clinical studies and meta-analyses. It is noted that despite significant progress in research on these drugs, some aspects of their use require fur ther investigation. This comprehensive review of modern approaches to hepatoprotective therapy may be valuable for clinical practice.
