Reconhecimento e intervenções de enfermagem na parada cardiorrespiratória em serviços de urgência e emergência
Cardiorespiratory arrest (CPA) is a serious clinical condition, considered a cardiac emergency, characterized by a suddeninterruption of the mechanical activity of the heart, confirmedby the absence of visible and palpable respiratory andcirculatory movements that requires immediate andcoordinated interventions by the nursing team. This studyaimed to conduct a bibliographic survey on the interventionsof the nursing team during CPA in urgent and emergencyservices. This was an integrative literature review research, using the Nursing Database - BDENF for the search ofarticles; Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences - LILACS and Medical Literature Analysis andRetrieval System Online - MEDLINE, with national andinternational study criteria , between the years 2019 and 2024. In the exclusion criteria, articles that were outside the selected period; incomplete works; theses, course completion papers, monographs and that did not fit the proposed theme. The results showed that, despite the relevance of the role of nursing in this context, there are still gaps in theoretical and practical knowledge, especially in relation to the early recognition of CPA, correct application of CPR maneuvers and the use of updated protocols. The need for continuous training, regular training and strengthening of protocols is evident. It is concluded that nursing qualification is a determining factor for the success of CPA care, directly contributing to increased survival and improved prognosis of victims.
