Utilizing Perception Theory and Cognitive Dissonance Theory, the study aims to understand the complex relationships between changing perceptions influenced by social media and cultural norms. Simple random sampling was used to choose a sample of university students to guarantee a cross-section of representative viewpoints. The results show a strong correlation between people's impressions of cultural changes and their exposure to social media content, suggesting that social media has a significant influence and the power to change conventional cultural values surrounding dancing on university campuses.
