Tests of a corner joint of a timber structure with a steel connector for use in modular buildings
<ns3:p>The article presents a structural solution for a corner joint developed for modular timber construction, taking into account the optimization of mechanical parameters and prefabrication requirements.During the conceptual phase, various designs of steel connectors were developed and analyzed in terms of code compliance, assembly requirements, and economic criteria. A solution offering adequate load-bearing capacity and repeatability was selected. The chosen connector was prefabricated and subjected to laboratory testing to evaluate its performance within a timber corner joint</ns3:p>
