Thermal model of the interaction of a series of ultrashort laser pulses with ZnO:Ag thin films for beam scanning mode

In this work, we present a model that describes the heating of thin zinc oxide films containing silver nanoparticles on a glass substrate under multipulse irradiation with ultrashort laser pulses with beam scanning for the conditions of absorption of radiation by nanoparticles (plasmonic resonance). The model makes it possible to track the temperature changes inside the film and the substrate at different time and spatial scales and gives the full picture of heating. The experimental results of thin film modification are presented. Based on the obtained results of thermal calculations and their comparison with experimental data, possible mechanisms of film modification by a series of ultrashort laser pulses are proposed and discussed.

Abstract

The experimental results of thin film modification are presented. Based on the obtained results of thermal calculations and their comparison with experimental data, possible mechanisms of film modification by a series of ultrashort laser pulses are proposed and discussed.
