Thirty years of investigations of thermal conductivity of cryocrystals at the Institute of Low Temperatures and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław
Cryocrystals are the crystals formed at low temperatures from substances that, under normal conditions, are known as gases, and they represent particular type of solid. Due to their unique properties such as weak interparticle interactions, simple crystallographic structure, etc., they have become very suitable model objects in basic science. Since the mid-nineties of the last century, the thermal conductivity of cryocrystals has been investigated at the Institute of Low Temperatures and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław. In the present article, the most significant results obtained in this field are reviewed.
