Stent-induced Chronic Severe Aortic Regurgitation
Abstract We report a rare case of stent-induced severe aortic regurgitation (AR) following left main coronary artery dissection during primary percutaneous coronary intervention in a 43-year-old male. Emergency left main-left anterior descending stenting was performed in the setting of cardiogenic shock. Seven months later, the patient presented with left-sided heart failure and was found to have chronic severe AR due to stent protrusion into the aortic sinus. He underwent successful stent retrieval, aortic valve replacement, and coronary bypass graft.
