Dear Editor, We thank Upadhyayula S for his interest in our article “Role of dobutamine stress echocardiography in the evaluation of patients undergoing noncardiac surgeries in the contemporary era,” published in the Journal.[1] He has raised a valid point. However, it is up to the leading academic societies to address this issue and formulate uniform guidelines for naming various criteria, indices, scores, formulae, or signs after the investigator(s) who have proposed or developed them. From our side, we would like to clarify that we have used only the term “Lee’s score” throughout our manuscript to maintain uniformity. The term “revised cardiac risk index” was used only at the time of initial introduction in the abstract and the main text. Sincerely, Tanu Chaudhary Ravi R Kasliwal Manish Bansal Authors’ contributions All the authors contributed equally to this manuscript. Financial support and sponsorship Nil.
