AI-enabled RF-to-terahertz chip design beyond human intuition [Invited]

In this work, we introduce what we believe is a novel approach for AI-enabled synthesis of complex RF-to-THz passive components and circuits. Beyond enabling rapid and fully automated design of advanced microelectronic chips, the proposed methodology expands the design landscape to encompass non-intuitive circuit architectures that surpass traditional human-driven paradigms. By moving away from manual, labor-intensive workflows, our framework paves the way for a new era in RFIC and electromagnetic design.

Abstract

In this work, we introduce what we believe is a novel approach for AI-enabled synthesis of complex RF-to-THz passive components and circuits. Beyond enabling rapid and fully automated design of advanced microelectronic chips, the proposed methodology expands the design landscape to encompass non-intuitive circuit architectures that surpass traditional human-driven paradigms. By moving away from manual, labor-intensive workflows, our framework paves the way for a new era in RFIC and electromagnetic design.
