Experimental Investigation of Power Quality in Grid Interfaced Roof-Top PV Plant
This study focuses on evaluating the power quality analysis of a 50 kWp grid-connected PV plant under real-time operating conditions. The rapid incorporation of alternate energy systems into the power grid has raised concerns regarding power quality issues, such as voltage deviations, harmonic distortion, and power factor deviations. Using a power quality analyzer various power quality parameters are assessed, including voltage deviations, harmonic distortions in voltage and current, voltage unbalance, voltage sags. The findings from this research provide valuable insights into the technical challenges associated with rooftop solar PV systems and offer recommendations for improving system design, enhancing power quality, and optimizing performance. The insights gained from this investigation contribute to understanding the performance and challenges of grid-connected rooftop PV plant, offering practical recommendations for optimizing power quality and ensuring grid compliance.
