Fuzzy PID Control for Temperature Regulation in Food Delivery Lockers
The rapid growth of the food delivery industry has made food quality and delivery efficiency key concerns for consumers, with temperature control playing a crucial role in ensuring food quality. Traditional PID control algorithms are limited by slow adjustments and significant overshoots, thus making it difficult to achieve precise temperature control and affecting food freshness and. Therefore, this study proposes an optimized scheme based on the fuzzy PID algorithm to boost the efficiency and precision of temperature control in the food delivery locker. This method integrates fuzzy control theory with traditional PID algorithms by transforming temperature deviation and its rate of change into fuzzy variables and using an experience-based fuzzy rule base to adjust PID parameters dynamically. Through a fuzzy reasoning mechanism, the input fuzzy variables and rule base are integrated to optimize PID controller parameters in real-time, thereby ensuring precise temperature control for food lockers. The results demonstrate that, compared to the traditional PID algorithm, the fuzzy PID algorithm reduces adjustment time by $32.2 \%$ and overshoot by $82.9 \%$ in heating systems, and cuts adjustment time by $13.6 \%$ and overshoot by $50.7 \%$ in cooling systems, thus significantly improving the storage environment quality of takeout food.
