Dynamic Gain-Based Stochastic Control for Transient Stability of Multi-Machine Power System

This paper examines a methodology for achieving exponential stabilization control through feedback in a stochastic multimachine, characterized by an uncertain expansion rate. The primary aim is to improve the transient stability of a multi-machine system. Employing a dynamic gain to address uncertainties within the system ensures the exponential convergence of multimachine states amid uncertainties. Expanding on this dynamic gain, the paper explicitly develops an adaptive output feedback controller tailored to address transient stability challenges in a multimachine environment. A notable aspect is the utilization of stochastic control, a proven nonlinear control method effective in stabilizing interconnected systems. The overarching objective is to ensure the system maintains synchronism and stability in the aftermath of disturbances. To evaluate the efficacy of the proposed controller, the paper includes a case study featuring a two-machine model, demonstrating its superior performance compared to existing controllers.
