DTOGI-CDSC-FLL based synchronization and control of WEC-PV-BESS-based distributed generation system

This paper introduces a resilient control and synchronization approach for a distributed generation (DG) system utilizing the Dual-Third-Order-Generalized Integrator with Cascaded Delayed-Signal-Cancellation-based Frequency Locked Loop (DTOGI-CDSC-FLL). The strategy aims to ensure rapid dynamics and heightened stability in the presence of distortion and unbalance. A voltage source converter (VSC) is utilized for seamless operation catering to voltage/frequency regulation, load balancing, and harmonic alleviation due to non-linear loads. The DTOGI-CDSC-FLL technique minimizes steady-state errors, diminishes oscillations, and improves synchronization during transitions between modes. The DG system incorporates solar photovoltaic (SPV) and wind energy sources, complemented by a bi-directional current controller (BDC) and a battery energy storage system (BESS) to manage energy amid load fluctuations. An adapted Incremental-Conductance (INC)-based Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm ensures optimal power extraction, while the BSS facilitates continuous power supply and frequency stability. Key features include enhanced synchronization precision, harmonic attenuation, active/reactive power compensation, and efficient power distribution management. Simulation results validate the system’s robustness and efficiency in dynamic microgrid settings.
