Multi-Stage Reconfiguration Method for Resilience Enhancement of Distribution Systems Considering Line and RCS Faults
Under the dual challenges of global climate change and energy transition, the stable operation of distribution systems is crucial. However, traditional distribution systems have limitations in addressing extreme climate events and remote control switch (RCS) faults. In this context, a dynamic multi-stage recovery framework is proposed in this paper, with the objective of systematically enhancing the operational resilience of electrical distribution systems. The framework considers RCS faults and their transition to manual operation procedures, improving disturbance resistance, adaptability, and self-healing capabilities through preventive reconfiguration and adaptive recovery strategies. Preventive reconfiguration optimizes network topology to create disaster-resistant power supply paths, while adaptive recovery employs a four-stage operation sequence to optimize recovery objectives and resource allocation dynamically. Case studies demonstrate that the proposed method effectively reduces the risk of critical load exposure to compound faults and ensures efficient resource utilization.
