Design and Implementation of a PV-Integrated Interleaved BIFRED Converter for PMBLDC Motor Drives
The Permanent Magnet Brush Less Direct Current (PMBLDC) motor accurate speed regulation is attained by using the proposed approach. The PMBLDC motor is known for its reduced computational costs, compactness, and simplicity. To drive the PMBLDC motor sustainable energy is needed. For that Renewable Energy Sources (RES) is used for power consumption as it is naturally available and has the ability to highly replenish themselves without being depleted. The solar Photovoltaic (PV) system with the Boost Interleaved flyback Rectifier Energy/Storage Direct Current (DC) (BIFRED) converter is used. The energy obtained from PV system is varying due to climatic conditions. To boost voltage obtained from PV system the proposed interleaved BIFRED converter is used. The converter operations are controlled by a Proportional Integral (PI) controller. PI controller generates the error signal and then it is compensated by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generator. 3-phase Voltage Source Inverter (3ϕVSI) is used for purpose of converting DC power into an Alternating Current (AC) power. For regulating speed of motor, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) controller is proposed. The output of the controller gets into PWM generator to generate pulses for switching operations. The presented model is implemented in MATLAB/Simulink and achieves the higher efficiency of 95.24 %.
