Improved Simulated Annealing Algorithm Based on Heat Conduction Model

This paper presents an improved simulated annealing algorithm based on heat transfer model. By introducing the heat transfer model, a new temperature updating formula is derived. The improved algorithm optimizes the temperature updating process on the basis of retaining the basic framework of the traditional simulated annealing algorithm. Compared with the traditional simulated annealing algorithm, the experimental results show that the improved algorithm has better performance in terms of local optimal ability, solution quality and solution efficiency on Levy, Michalewicz and Drop-Wave functions, respectively. This study provides a new idea and method for the application of simulated annealing algorithm in complex optimization problems.
