PMSG Powered Battery Charging Through AI Implemented PIL Control
This paper presents a wind power generation system coupled with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to enhance power reliability and efficiency. Under varying wind conditions, the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is used to maximize energy harvesting from the wind turbine. The extracted energy is stored in the BESS, with charging currents regulated by a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller to ensure efficient charging and prevent overcharging or deep discharging, thereby improving battery lifespan and system stability. To achieve real-time system optimization, battery parameters are continuously monitored, allowing for dynamic power management. A power flow control strategy is developed to coordinate energy distribution among the wind turbine, BESS, and load, minimizing power fluctuations and enhancing overall efficiency. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed system in optimizing energy utilization, reducing power losses, and maintaining a reliable power supply. The findings of this study contribute to advancing renewable energy integration by improving the operational efficiency and stability of wind power systems, making them more viable for grid-independent and hybrid energy applications
