Network Reconfiguration with Strategic Deployment of Distributed Generation using Transient Search Optimization
The implementation of Distributed Generation (DG) and network reconfiguration (NR) are critical strategies in contemporary power system management, aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of power distribution networks. Most research attempts have concentrated mainly on optimizing either the NR or the DG allocation issue. In this work, a depth-first search algorithm (DFSA) is proposed to enforce radiality constraints and produce feasible configurations. A transient search optimization (TSO) is employed to attain the NR and DG issue in many cases within the IEEE 33-bus distribution network. The outcomes demonstrate the efficacy of the suggested approach combined with NR and DG placement in reducing power loss by 72.41%, surpassing the outcomes achieved by many optimizers documented in the literature.
