A Fuzzy Logic-Based Adaptive PID Control Method for Voltage Regulation in Wireless Power Transfer Systems

Wireless Power Transfer (WPT), as a groundbreaking energy transmission technology, offers significant advantages over traditional wired power transfer. For instance, WPT eliminates the requirement for conductive media, avoids connection failures (e.g., poor contact), and enables mobile power supply. However, its practical application remains limited due to challenges such as high energy loss, complex control requirements, and poor robustness, which lead to unstable output voltage and current. To address these issues, this work proposes a fuzzy adaptive PID voltage control method for a double LCC compensated WPT topology. The proposed strategy effectively mitigates disturbances caused by coil misalignment-induced mutual inductance variations and load resistance fluctuations. A comparative analysis with conventional PID control demonstrates the superior performance of the proposed approach.
