Stability Analysis Method for High Proportion Renewable Energy Grid Based on Transient Security
As the global energy structure shifts towards low carbon, the integration of high proportions of renewable energy into the power system has become an inevitable trend. However, the volatility, intermittency, and low inertia characteristics of renewable energy pose challenges to power system stability. This paper explores the issues of frequency, voltage, and rotor angle stability when high proportions of renewable energy are integrated into the power system, and conducts stability analysis based on transient security theory using extreme scenarios. First, dynamic stability equations before and after the integration of wind turbines and photovoltaic inverters are established to analyze the impact of renewable energy integration on the three main types of system stability. Next, the paper examines the evolution mechanism of stability under renewable energy integration and quantifies the stability characteristics of the power system using key indicators. Finally, the PSD-BPA simulation platform is used to validate the impact of renewable energy integration on system stability.
