Multi-Level Optimization of Inverter Control Parameters for Overvoltage Suppression at the point of common coupling
Under the national goals of “carbon peaking” and “carbon neutrality,” China’s power system is undergoing a rapid transition toward a cleaner and low-carbon structure, driven by the continuous expansion of renewable energy capacity. As a key form of renewable generation, distributed photovoltaic (PV) systems have seen a steadily increasing share in the power mix in recent years. However, the large-scale integration of distributed PV has brought challenges to the power grid, particularly voltage limit violations in distribution networks and unstable PV operation during faults in the receiving-end AC grid. To address these issues, this study investigates the voltage adaptability of distributed PV in power systems with high PV penetration and HVDC feed-in at the receiving end AC grid. A control parameter optimization strategy for PV inverters is proposed, aiming to enhance transient voltage performance both during and after grid faults. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified through simulation studies.
