Research on Multi-Material Optimization System in Lightweight Design of Electric Vehicle Chassis
A multi-material optimization method is presented, which combines the GA with the simulated annealing algorithm to optimize the light weight of EV chassis. Taking into account the material properties of strength, rigidity, durability, and cost, an optimal blend of steel, aluminum alloy, composite materials, and others is determined for casing design. Combined with the global search ability of GA and the local search of simulated annealing algorithm, it can avoid the trap of the local optimum solution, and improve the efficiency and quality of the solution. The results of the experiment indicate that the hybrid optimization method can reduce the weight of the chassis by 15%, and the strength and rigidity of the design can reach the design request. Compared with the single material design scheme, the hybrid optimization scheme is not only more prominent in the lightweight effect, but also shows higher flexibility and adaptability in multi-objective optimization. This optimization method provides an innovative solution for the lightweight design of electric vehicle chassis, and has a good practical application prospect, especially in improving the endurance and safety of electric vehicles.
