Analysis of Power Quality Based on Electricity Consumption Data Collection
In recent years, the power quality of distribution networks has received widespread attention. However, due to factors such as investment limitations, the monitoring points for power quality can only be configured in a limited manner, making it difficult to obtain localized power quality levels. At the same time, with the construction of smart grids, electricity consumption data collection systems have achieved “full coverage, full collection, and full cost control”, allowing for the acquisition of a large amount of basic electricity consumption data. This paper proposes a method for analyzing power quality using electricity consumption data collection. First, by comparing the types of electricity consumption data collected with the types of data required for power quality monitoring, corresponding power quality indicators are identified, and a process for power quality analysis is presented. Then, using preprocessed data, statistical calculations are performed to determine the values of power quality indicators such as voltage qualification rate, power supply reliability, three-phase imbalance qualification rate, average number of power outages per user, and average outage duration per user. The relationship between electricity consumption data and the evaluation results of the power quality monitoring system is also analyzed. Finally, taking the electricity consumption data from a low-voltage distribution network in a certain region as an example, the feasibility of the method is validated. This method can serve as a complement to power quality monitoring efforts, significantly enhancing the observability of power quality in distribution networks and refining power quality management practices.
