The Design Mechanism of an Intelligent Management System for University Laboratories Based on Internet of Things Technology

The continuous evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT) has provided favorable conditions for the development of intelligent management systems for university laboratories, improving the safety and efficiency of all parties involved. The design and implementation of an IoT-based intelligent laboratory management system based on multi-sensor data fusion, wireless communication and cloud platform technologies are described in this study. The framework contains three primary facets: the perception layer handles real-time data collection, the transmission layer communicates the data, and the application layer serves visualization, monitoring, and intervention. The key features include video surveillance, hazardous gas detection, a multi-level warning system, and real-time intervention capabilities. The proposed system aims to increase the safety, efficiency, and automation of laboratory management by incorporating advanced sensing and communication technologies, thereby limiting the potential for accidents and ensuring compliance with management standards. The system is capable of identifying hazards and initiating appropriate first response in real world scenarios.
