A Defect Found in a 500kV Transformer Live Test and Treatment Methods
Transformer is one of the main equipment in a substation. Once it fails, it will cause heavy losses. This article introduces in detail a 500 kV transformer fault that occurred in a substation. After the fault occurred, the transformer was disassembled and analyzed, and the development process of the transformer fault was analyzed based on ultra-high frequency testing, ultrasonic testing, etc., and finally the cause of the fault was diagnosed and dealt with, and suggestions for the safe operation of the substation and fault prevention were put forward.
