The Effect of Self-efficacy on Job Satisfaction among Care Workers: The Mediating Effect of the Sense of Calling

The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of the sense of calling in the relationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction among care workers. To this end, data from 539 care workers were analyzed. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and mediating effect analysis were performed using SPSS 27.0 and Process Macro ver. 4.3. The results of the analysis showed that, first, self-efficacy had a positive effect on the sense of calling. Second, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect of the sense of calling in the relationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction, self-efficacy had a complete mediating effect that significantly indirectly affected job satisfaction through the sense of calling. Based on these research results, a plan was proposed to increase the sense of calling along with self-efficacy in order to increase job satisfaction among care workers.
