Pengelolaan Sampah Menjadi Eco Enzim Sebagai Industri UMKM Hijau untuk Melestarikan Sungai Ciliwung oleh Komunitas Mat Peci

The challenge of waste management remains a critical issue for Indonesia. According to a recent study by Sustainable Waste Indonesia (SWI) around 24 percent of waste in the country is still now managed properly. The high number of unmanaged waste is influenced by several things. First, he said, it is related to an adequate system for the waste collection process. This process is usually carried out by scavengers on the streets, or cleaners who collect waste from each household using trucks. This waste collection is considered less than optimal, because it has not been able to reach all waste. The Mat Peci community is an environmentally conscious community that focuses on river conservation and river waste management into goods that have high economic value. One of the superior products of the Mat Peci community is eco enxym which is able to neutralize river pollution and polluted groundwater. However, unfortunately the product has marketing constraints and low brand awareness among the surrounding community. This study aims to determine the management of the eco enzyme UMKM industry starting from the production stage to marketing. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study research design. Data collection techniques use semi-structured interviews and passive participant observation as well as literature reviews. The sampling technique used the snowball sampling technique and the grand theory used was brand awaraness theory. This research was conducted at the Mat Peci Community, Srengseng, South Jakarta. The results of the study revealed that at the promotion stage, the waste used as raw material was organic waste found in the Ciliwung River which was then collected and organic waste collected from the waste bank in each RT. Then it was collected and processed into eco enzyme by community members. The packaging stage was carried out by the PKK village to be immediately distributed to each RT to assist with marketing around the community environment. Currently, marketing only reaches several RTs in the Jagakarsa village. Meanwhile, online marketing channels have not been activated or participated in UMKM exhibitions, so that product brand awareness has not reached the wider community. In fact, eco enzyme products have various UVPs and USPs that are very good if marketed widely.
