INCREASING THE OPERATIONAL SAFETY OF MAIN PIPELINES BASED ON THE USE OF EFFECTIVE CORROSION INHIBITORS
One of the most dangerous complications in the transportation of oil and oil products are trunk pipeline accidents caused by the aggressive impact of the pumped medium on the inner surface of pipes and equipment. Every year, such accidents result in human casualties, material losses amounting to billions of rubles, and serious environmental damage. Of particular concern is the fact that pipeline accidents are associated with emissions of significant amounts of harmful substances that have a negative impact on the environment and are accompanied by losses of tens of thousands of tons of extracted products. The presented study is aimed at finding an effective corrosion inhibitor by comparatively evaluating four inhibitor compositions based on KORBS-imidazoline-nenol, thiourea derivatives, as well as a mixture of samples, including a new chemical compound - 1,3,5-thiadiazine-4-thione, and determining the indicators of protection degrees. Corrosion inhibitors are the most promising way to prevent pipeline accidents. The relevance of the work is confirmed by open statistical data of Rostekhnadzor, which indicate that the main cause of pipeline accidents is corrosion, most of the accidents lead to fires and explosions. Ensuring the safety of main pipelines by using inhibitors creates additional protection against emergency situations, prevents negative consequences for the environment and human health, since the destruction of metals entails a number of problems, such as: economic losses, increases the cost of repair and replacement of equipment ahead of schedule, violates the safety of oil transportation.During the experiments, a gravimetric method was used, in which the corrosion rate was determined by the loss of mass of witness samples made of the same metal from which the field pipelines are made. The work determined and analyzed: the degrees of protection of the studied inhibitor samples, the maximum degree of protection of 87% was shown by 1,3,5-thiadiazine-4-thione, this value indicates the high efficiency of the studied sample. The analysis revealed the dependence of the inhibitor efficiency on time, while some compositions require a longer time (16 hours) to achieve optimal efficiency. The results of the study provide an idea of the relationship between structure and activity, regulating the processes of inhibitor adsorption and surface passivation. The presented results open up new opportunities for the development of improved anti-corrosion compositions, which is especially important in the context of tightening environmental requirements and the need to improve the reliability of pipeline transport, it is inhibitor protection that is the most convenient and effective method of protecting metal surfaces, since it does not require intervention in the technological process.
