SPECTRAL LIBRARY OF OIL FIELD REAGENTS AS A RESEARCH TOOL
The wide range and significant volume of consumption of oilfield chemical reagents in oil and gas production technologies is the reason why digital spectral libraries are a powerful tool for their rapid identification and quality control at all stages of turnover and industrial application. Digital algorithms for obtaining, storing and processing information are the methodological basis for innovative technologies for solving oilfield chemistry problems.Reference data and articles containing spectra of individual components or oilfield reagents in the format of graphs or tables with peak data are not suitable for solving most applied problems. A digital library of complete Raman spectra of oilfield reagents has been formed with a set of all characteristic and unique peaks in a wide spectral range. At the time of writing, the library contains 1,379 spectra of 294 brands of oilfield reagents for 21 functional purposes. The library is constantly evolving and being filled with new components, including individual active ingredients of oilfield reagents, chemical and technical reagents, polymers. The possibilities and potential of the digital spectral library for automated data processing and analysis are shown in the article.
