PRODUCTION OF KEROSENE FRACTION FROM LIGHT CATALYTIC CRACKING GAS OIL

This paper presents the results of a study on the method for kerosene producing by hydrodearomatization of light gas oil from catalytic cracking units. Analysis of data on the physicochemical properties of raw materials showed the need to select a hydrodearomatization technology that allows for the effective removal of undesirable components such as sulfur-containing compounds and aromatic hydrocarbons and the production of a kerosene fraction for use as a component of diesel fuel, technical kerosene or in petrochemistry. The paper presents the results of material balance calculations, determines the feedstock consumption, the composition of the reaction products, the product yield, and the dimensions of the equipment for hydrotreating, hydrodearomatization, and hydrodewaxing reactors. It is proposed to combine the hydrotreating and hydrodearomatization reactors into one reactor, which will reduce capital costs. The calculation method was used to determine the content of mono-, bi-, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in gas oils of catalytic cracking units. To determine the quality characteristics of the resulting kerosene fraction, a stabilization and fractionation unit was modeled in the Petro-SIM software. The modeling results showed the possibility of obtaining a component for producing winter diesel fuel, kerosene for technical purposes or raw materials for petrochemistry. To determine the economic efficiency of the project, an assessment of capital and operating costs was carried out, as well as a calculation of investment efficiency indicators, which confirmed the prospects of the proposed technological solutions.
