The Impact of Personal Innovativeness with IT on Innovative Behaviors of Foreign Language Students—From the Perspective of Psychological Capital

AI technology has been widely applied in foreign language learning. Examining the impact of students’ individual characteristics on their innovative behaviors in the process of technology use will offer insights for fostering innovative talents in foreign language education. Viewing from the Psychological Capital Theory, this study explores the influence of Personal Innovativeness with IT(PIIT) on foreign language students’ innovative behaviors, as well as the roles of self-efficacy and psychological resilience in this relationship. The hierarchical regression analysis of data from 373 students shows that PIIT has a significant positive effect on students’ innovative behaviors, with self-efficacy playing a partial mediating role between the two and psychological resilience positively moderating the positive effect of self-efficacy on innovative behaviors. The study enriches the research on the influence of PIIT on innovative behaviors and provides insights for cultivating innovative talents in foreign language education.
