An Overview of Millimeter-Wave MMICs for Front-End Applications in Aerospace and Defense
The development of millimeter-wave integrated circuits has become increasingly important for their use in frontend applications in the aerospace and defense industries. These circuits are able to operate at frequencies above 30 GHz, providing significant improvements in data rates, system capacity, and spatial resolution for radar and communication systems. Additionally, Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) offer advantages such as smaller form factors, lower power consumption, and higher integration levels compared to conventional counterparts. This paper will provide a comprehensive review of the emerging MMIC technologies for millimeter-wave systems, outlining their significance and potential impact on aerospace and defense applications.
